Zack Krall is releasing his brand new single “I Am The Moon” on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. The release is accompanied by a campaign encouraging listeners to donate to GiveDirectly, Inc. to help provide aid to families impacted by the financial fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, 100% of proceeds from Bandcamp and zackkrallmusic.com website sales of the single will be donated to GiveDirectly, Inc. as well.
This single is the first release since Heart / Body / Mind and was recorded in a single overnight session in early February 2020, combining elements of blues and psychedelic rock with a gritty, aggressive edge. The decision to pair the release with a campaign to raise donations for GiveDirectly, Inc. came as the COVID-19 pandemic began to expand across the U.S. and around the world. As put by Zack, “We saw [the release] as an opportunity to do our part and try to make a little difference rather than just act like everything was normal and turn a blind eye to everything going on. And we liked GiveDirectly because they provide aid right to the people who need it most.”
“I Am The Moon” will be released everywhere on April 22, 2020 and 100% of proceeds from Bandcamp and zackkrallmusic.com website sales of the single will be donated to GiveDirectly, Inc. Fans who do not want to download the song are encouraged to donate independently at https://www.givedirectly.org/
